The Susan G. Komen Puerto Rico Affiliate, established on March of 2003, focuses on increasing breast cancer awareness on the island. On April 25th 2006, Komen of Puerto Rico celebrated their Rally for the Cure Golf Tournament dedicated to breast cancer survivors. They gave valuable support to the Sister Study and invited us to the Tournament, our first event in Puerto Rico. The Tournament was attended by more than 80 women, breast cancer survivors and their supporters, as well as many community advocates. It was a very successful event for the Sister Study, and we are grateful to Susan G. Komen Puerto Rico Affiliate for their contribution and guidance.
